Fashion and Car Shows at the Huntington Mall

(Barboursville, WV)- The Huntington Mall is wrapping up the Back to School season with a Car Show and a Homecoming Fashion Show which will support two local charities; The Salvation Army and the Cabell County Student Empowerment Team.

The Rosetree Boutique will be holding their second annual Homecoming Fashion show Saturday, August 27th at 1pm in the Macy’s Court.  Tickets for the show will be $1.00 and will benefit West Virginia Flood Victims via the Salvation Army.  This ticket will enter you for a chance to win a Homecoming dress from the Rosetree in the Huntington Mall.  For details on getting a hold of tickets early contact the Rosetree at 304-733-4332.  Tickets will also be available on the day of the show.

The Cruise in for Kids car show will be held on Saturday, August 27th with the Cabell County Student Empowerment Team (CCSET) in the front mall parking lot across from Pier One Imports from 5pm to 8pm.  This is a charity event to raise money and awareness for the Cabell County Student Empowerment Team, an affiliate of the Cabell County Family Resource Network, a 501c3 nonprofit organization.

Activities include a Cruise In car show open to all cars, trucks, or motorcycles and Family Fun events.  The registration fee to show your vehicle is a $10 donation to CCSET.  There will be door prizes specifically for cruise in participants as well as a goody bag and a chance to win the People’s Choice Award dash plaque.  There will be family fun activities to compliment the car show with all donations at this event to benefit the Cabell County Student Empowerment Team to connect students in poverty in Cabell County with the community resources they need to succeed in school. In addition to the Cruise in for Kids events on August 27th, Qdoba Restaurant at the Huntington Mall will be hosting a Spirit Day for the Cabell County Student Empowerment Team.  The restaurant will donate 20% of sales for the entire day to the organization as long as the customer mentions CCSET when placing their order.  Good food for a good cause.
