The work that Cabell County Student Empowerment Team (CCSET) has a life changing impact. Here’s a few of our success stories…

  • One of our “Classroom Champions”, a volunteer who provides academic support, reported her “Little Champ” (student) could not read at the beginning of third grade. In fact, he was not able to identify most of the letters of the alphabet. By the end of third grade, he was reading and writing independently. Now, in fourth grade, he is reading and writing on grade level!
  • Another “Little Champ’s” reading and math skills improved week after week and year after year. The “Classroom Champion” expressed to us “What an honor to watch their growth and development and witness their increasing enthusiasm for learning!

If you have benefited from that type of academic support, join our cause to pay it forward to the next generation. Help CCSET raise the funds to continue connecting students to the supports they need so they can achieve.
